Play Tarneeb Online — Free
Four players, one bold bid, and a trump named out loud. No download, no sign-up.
Play Tarneeb Online FreeTarneeb is the coffee-house classic of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Egypt — two partnerships, thirteen tricks, and an auction of nerve before a card is played. This table plays the standard partnership game: bids of 7 to 13, the trump suit named publicly, and the race to 41. Open it and you are dealt in.
Start playing in one tap
There is no download, no account and no age gate between you and a hand of Tarneeb. Open the table and the cards are dealt. Three bots take the other seats at the difficulty you choose, so you never wait for a fourth. Sign in later only if you want your stats and streak to follow you.
Or bring your own table
Create a private room and share the link on WhatsApp — your friends tap it and land straight in your room, with no sign-up of their own. Any seat nobody fills can be taken by a bot, which is usually the hardest part of arranging a four-player game.
The rules, in one minute
- The deal. A standard 52-card deck, thirteen cards each, aces high. Play moves counter-clockwise — to the right, as the region's games do.
- The bid. Each player in turn bids the number of tricks their team will take — from seven to thirteen — or passes. Each bid must beat the standing one. Three passes end the auction; if all four pass, the hand is thrown in and redealt.
- The tarneeb. The winning bidder names the trump suit aloud — nothing is hidden here — and leads the first trick.
- The play. Follow the led suit if you can. Void? Play anything: trumping is optional and discarding is allowed. Highest trump takes the trick, or the highest card of the led suit if no trump falls.
Scoring — the race to 41
| Result | Bidding team | Defenders |
|---|---|---|
| Bid made (tricks ≥ bid) | + tricks actually won | 0 |
| Bid failed | − bid | + their tricks |
| Kaboot — all 13 taken (bid under 13) | +16 | 0 |
| Bid 13, made | +26 | 0 |
| Bid 13, failed | −16 | double their tricks |
First team to 41 wins; 31 and 61 are presets. Scores can go negative — there is no floor.
Which Tarneeb is this?
Standard partnership Tarneeb — trick bidding, seven to thirteen, played to 41 by default. It is not the separate four-individual card-point game also sold under the name “Tarneeb 41”, and this table has no no-trump bids; those belong to the Egyptian variant. We would rather you knew before you sat down than after.
